| In December of 1999 I leased my first store front studio in downtown Fresno at 1826 Van Ness Ave. This gave me almost 1000 square feet of space to occupy, not only as a place to work, but also to exhibit during ArtHop, Fresno's open studio monthly event. ?It was a great space, with another artist right next door in her store front studio. This space allowed me freedom to paint, and explore the many facets of my art directions, with privacy, and a positive and productive work environment. I loved my studio, BUT, I found I was running out of space! So............ | |||||||||||||||||||
| In December of 2003 I gave up my studio, at 1826 Van Ness, I moved a half a block south and purchased a building at 1752 Van Ness Ave. This was a committment to my art, to downtown Fresno, and to the Cultural Arts District of which I am part. Formerly occupied as a print shop it I knew it was an ideal potential studio and art gallery. A very solid brick building, of almost 2000 square feet, it allowed me to partition the space in half, with my studio in the rear, and my Gallery in the front. (There is even a separate "gallery room" for my photographs) After painting the interior, and installing track lights in the Gallery section of the building I was ready to launch my new studio. In January of 2004 I had an openhouse celebrating this new space. Thanks to all who celebrated with me. My Gallery space is changed every month, I am open every ArtHop (lst Thursday of each month) from 5 pm till 8 pm. I am also open by appointment for visitors. I am in my studio daily, and while my hours could be described as "flexible" if you see my red truck parked out in back, please ring the doorbell! |

| I want to acknowledge the Fresno Arts Council for their efforts in promoting the arts, and also the many museums, fellow artists, and studios in Fresno that are striving to make Fresno truly an art community. I feel that the efforts being made to beautify and improve the downtown areas will only enhance our art community. I am proud to be part of this "community." | |||||||||||||||||||
